Michael has assumed the role of CEO at Locweld since 2017. Michael’s strength lies in identifying opportunities and executing a strategic plan that supports that vision.

Throughout his 20+ years at Locweld, Michael has acquired expertise in manufacturing processes, finance, estimation, purchasing, and contract management. A true entrepreneur at heart, Michael is passionate about business growth and creating jobs. As CEO of two Quebec steel companies, Michael continues to seek North American acquisitions to further our company growth.

Michael is an MBA graduate of the John Molson School of Business

Pierre Lavoie has been a key member of Locweld’s executive team for the past 10 years. Pierre has a stellar track record with over 35 years of experience in various industries which include manufacturing, distribution, retail and services. Focused on results, Pierre has been strategically stewarding the finance, accounting, administration, human resources and purchasing functions of the company since 2012. Following his dedication and success as Vice-President of Finance, Pierre was promoted to President of Locweld in 2019. The Locweld team benefits from Pierre’s skills, reliability, strategy and leadership to maintain, guide and grow Locweld’s successful reputation in our evolving market.

Pierre holds a CPA title from the Quebec CPA Order.

Terry Gilliland has been with Locweld for over 25 years and was appointed Chief Operations Officer in 2019. Terry is a results-driven professional with proven business process improvement and management experience.

Accomplished in project management, Terry’s role involves the optimization of operational practices, achieving all objectives and ensuring seamless operations. By leveraging technology and continuous improvement, Terry’s main goal is to ensure Locweld is always in a position to provide the best products in our industry.

Terry is an MBA Graduate with honors from Concordia University, John Molson School of Business.

Maurice Brunet

VP, Engineering & Contract Management

Maurice Brunet has been a pivotal figure throughout Locweld’s history. In his role, Maurice is responsible for all operations relating to engineering and project management. His main functions include maintaining Locweld’s high quality standards, to continuously improve our processes, respect delivery commitments and contribute to the organization with a competitive focus.

Maurice has more than 45 years of specialized experience in the design of transmission line structures. He is a “Certified Welding Engineer” of the Canadian Welding Bureau and was a long-time member of the ASCE 2010 Committee (Standards for transmission line design for North America).

Deanne Cyr

Deanne Cyr

VP, Sales & Estimation

Deanne Cyr is a McGill University graduate who has managed successful sales teams for over 30 years. A sales and marketing expert, Deanne has extensive experience in both B2C and B2B. Deanne’s strength is building and maintaining customer relationships and she takes great pride in providing solutions for clients.

In her role at Locweld, Deanne oversees customer relationship management, marketing/brand building, public relations, and communications. On the estimation side, Deanne and her team ensure that Locweld is strategically competitive while consistently maintaining excellence in customer service.
